Introduction

Maggie's first CD is a blend of Classical Opera, Gospel and Negro Spirituals. Her life-long passion for music began deep in Missouri's Bootheel in the town of Caruthersville, where she was raised as a small child. Vocal training and praise from her mother, grandmother and her high school music teacher eventually led this shy child to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Music from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee in 1990. During college, Ms. George was invited to tour the United States as a member and featured soloist of the Lane College Choir while under the direction of Mr. Dan Evans and Dr. William B. Garcia. She also received vocal training from the internationally acclaimed soprano, Alpha Brawner-Floyd of New York City, NY.

Ms. George continues to share her exceptional vocal talent by performing at governor's ceremonies, colleges, universities, fundraisers and other local events. Throughout her lifetime, Ms. George has received numerous awards for her vocal accomplishments and dramatically intense soprano voice.
